Stillness
Long time absence… I went trough one of those periods in which the interest and purpose of photography were big question marks for me. In the meantime, I re-discovered the pleasures of walking. Yes, just walking… one step after another, preferably among nature. Along the way, I made some friends that helped me awake to the stillness and peacefulness of all things natural. These non-human friends suddenly made me want to bring along my camera again…

The ever-changing elements (I)
There are just a few places I know where I can go to anytime, over and over again, without feeling bored or tired. Magoito is one of those places… Relentlessly battered by the sea, it always shows a different face every time I go there. The ground can be covered in pebbles of every sort in one time or filled with an endless strip of smooth sand on another. Morning mists often hide the coastal hills and the sea itself , making us feel like walking in a limbo of sand and pools of sea water. Extreme tides can expose large chunks of clam-covered rocks or completely cover it up to the very foot of the cliffs, causing the disappearance of the entire place. It is as beautiful as it is elusive and that’s why I love the place…
