Art watchers
It is something deeply moving for me to observe other people being moved by art. These moments of tight connection between visitors and exposed art objects, generate a special, almost religious atmosphere… It’s a photo subject I greatly appreciate but one that poses an enormous challenge, because of the common low-light situations and the need to be as stealthy as possible. I’ll return to this subject later, no doubt…

You know, I never thought too much about observing viewers as they observe art. However,I’ve read and written about viewers as they watch movies, performances, etc. This is a great line of thought and I really enjoyed the way you captured each of these viewers. Well done.

Thank you, Keith. I think it´s a great subject matter and has potential to be explored in a more profund way. The main dificulty is not to get in the way of the observers, introducing distractions that will affect the bond between the viewers and their objects of contemplation.

Yes, I think the built-in jpeg engine and the in-camera B&W setting of the Lumix GF1 does a good job.
