Monthly Fragments; May 2012
When one reaches the end of a month and makes an effort to remember all the good moments experienced during that period of time, one might just realize that the real meaning and importance of those moments have passed unnoticed back then. Moments of profound peace and happiness, experienced with the most trivial of things; a walk in nature with family, a good meal in the company of friends, a spontaneous smile from someone you don’t even know or the vision of clouds rolling in the horizon…

One doesn’t need too much to be happy if one understands what is really important. If we can perceive and collect those tiny pearls of happiness that lie on our path, we can, after a while, behold a handful of jewels and call it “life”.

Taking pictures helps me not to forget some of those special moments that can almost be as ephemeral as the release of the camera’s shutter. Trough photography, I can understand much better the deep significance hidden in simple things.

Photography extends memory… If we photograph things that are emotional relevant to us, we can re-experience those emotions and feel good about it.

bom dia, I appreciated the photo of your cat,an attractive graphics and strongly original; I shall also have to put myself in the writing, (beautiful calligraphy, in the passage) quite as you suggest it. it tempts me and evokes me, certain things in my spirit but it is the work in more.
