Indian Summer: Udaipur (III) – On the streets

Like in any reasonable sized Indian city, there is always something happening in the streets of Udaipur and things happen at great speed. Private enterprise rules and shops and small itinerant business are everywhere. The shocking  reality of hard working conditions is also visible…

  1. Your photographs do a great job of resembling the subject you are photographing and writing about. I like the choice of monochrome to add to the effect here. Thanks for sharing your shots,

Thank you for stopping by, Nate. After a lot of thought, I decided to develop the whole series in b&w because the general color atmosphere and weather on location was not as god as I would expect.

  2. This is a vibrant collection of shots, even with the monochrome finish. It brings a sense of this place to the forefront.

  5. Hi Antonio. I have just got back from Udaipur myself so it’s great seeing another persons view. I am just about to put up onto my blog a series from the same area but where you have gone for B/W i have gone for lots of colour.

    Keep up the great work.

Thanks, Antonio. We all generally do, no matter the heat, moist, pollution and traffic experiences we encounter there.
